What you’ll do:
Develop applications and associated modules as required and allocated by the IT Lead
Design and develop backend systems based on engineering and data science specificiations
Translate prototype scripts from the data science team to production-level code
Collaborate closely with the Development, Engineering, and Data Science teams
May be called on to assist new employees/trainees and participate in the initial training of systems, programs, etc
What you’ll need:
3+ years of software development experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Knowledge about commonly used Python frameworks, packages/modules (including some knowledge of data science libraries), and good practices – then apply to projects
Experience in the Python language as used in production-level software development
Experience in developing systems in industry (preferable if data science related and external project)
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of data science architectures and systems based in Python in industry
Experience in distributed systems
Experience in REST-full API
Understanding of SDLC and Agile development practices
